Alder Hey Easter Egg Run 2019

We have been very busy of late, I have not had must opportunity to add to the bog, but , Sunday 14th April took us back to Liverpool for our twice yearly run to the Children's Hospital at Alder Hey, this time taking a van load of donated chocolate eggs for the unfortunate kids who will be spending the Easter holiday period away from home.

The numbers of scooters and motorbikes taking part in the run seems to grow year by year and this was no exception. We meet up at McDonald's in Edge Lane , leaving promptly at 13:30 hrs the massive line of machines, several abreast causing delay to motorists (we do apologise but its for the kids) .then snaking down Prescott Road to Old Swan, then Green Lane on to Queens Drive then to Knotty Ash (yes its a real place..not just a figment of the imagination of the late great Sir Ken Dodd RIP ) to the new futuristic hospital building where many of the children were waving from the upper floor windows. That is a real humbling experience and makes it all worth while. A line-up of our bikes and a quick team photo completed the day.......back in December to do it all again.
