On the weekend of the 26/27th September three members of the Bike Marshals Team made the long journey to Rothsay on the Isle of Bute off the west of Scotland for the annual Festival of Cycling. The job had been in the planning stage for many months and we were very much looking forward to the race round the island. On Sunday the 20th September we also sent a team to Blackpool Airport for the 2026 Base to Base Motorcycle Ride for the North West Air Ambulance Charity. They operate two aircraft, one based at Blackpool & the second one at Barton heliport which is near Eccles on the outskirts of Manchester. Sunday 20th September two members of Bikemarshals returned to Winsford in Cheshire to assist with the Salt Line Cycle Ride 2026. Its the third year we have supported the event raising awareness and very much needed cash for the locally based St Lukes Hospice. The cyclist on a a circular route around leafy Cheshire, just one minor incident dealt with b y the BM Team.
