BASE to BASE RIDE OUT.

On Sunday the 20th September we also sent a team to Blackpool Airport for the 2026 Base to Base Motorcycle Ride for the North West Air Ambulance Charity. They operate two aircraft, one based at Blackpool & the second one at Barton heliport which is near Eccles on the outskirts of Manchester. Several hundred bikers made the run between the bases raising money for the charity and also Greater Manchester Blood Bikes and North West Blood Bikes (Lancs & Lakes) Both blood bike charities transport blood from Salford General Hospital to the helicopters 365 days a year creating a great life saving team.

The ride itself went reasonably well. The local authority announced a road closure on the Saturday promoting a swift re-routing of part of the course at very short notice and a minor accident to a female rider who received an elbow injury which was dealt with by one of out Safety Motos before handing over to the Event Ambulance Team> The photo shows some of out team at the start of the event
