Congleton Cycling Club Time Trials

Sunday 29th August, 3 members of the Bikemarshals Group supported the Time Trials Championships organised by Congleton Cycling Club on a rural road circuit between Middlewich and Northwich in Mid Cheshire. A great event which was well attended. Only one minor incident to deal with when a rider had hit a rut in the roadway and came off his bike onto the grass verge. Fortunately, a passing motorist had stopped to assist the rider and he turned out to be a doctor and made a fantastic job of bandaging his wounds. His injuries were fairly minor.....much less that his pride ! He was going for his personal best and was well placed before his abrupt halt !
